CCC Sale offers discounted children's clothes, other items for East Texas families

Families are able to purchase items at a fraction of retail cost, and that is one thing that co-organizer Tess Murphy enjoys seeing.

TYLER, Texas — The semi-annual Children’s Clothing Consignment Sale will be open to shoppers starting Thursday and continue through Saturday with over 1,400 families selling unused, outgrown clothes, toys, furniture and more.

Commonly known as the CCC sale, the event is happening at the Oil Palace in Tyler.

Families are able to purchase items at a fraction of retail cost, and that is one thing that co-organizer Tess Murphy enjoys seeing when families make their purchases. Stay-at-home moms Laura Watson and Murphy started the CCC sale in 2002.

"Anybody can come in shop and stretch your budget and make your ends meet a little bit better," Murphy said. "You get more and you pay less."

Parking and admission are free. The hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The next CCC sale will be in September for the fall/winter season.
