The Patriots are moving on from wide receiver DeVante Parker according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

“Patriots informed WR DeVante Parker that they are releasing him Wednesday,” Schefter wrote. “He now has been given permission to talk to other teams, per his agent Jimmy Gould.”

Parker’s release will result in $6,323,334 in dead cap money according to Over The Cap. He signed a three-year deal with the Patriots last year worth up to $33 million with $14 million in guarantees.

The 2015 first-round pick spent the first seven years of his career with the Dolphins before joining the Patriots in 2022.

He caught 64 passes for 933 yards and three touchdowns during his two seasons in New England. His longest catch last season went for 30 yards.
