FULTON – Law Scholar Piombino holds Notary Law Exam Lessons in Fulton on April 18 at Cayuga Community College/Fulton-River Glen

Alfred E. Piombino will teach an in-person seminar at Cayuga Community College/Fulton-River Glen in Oswego County for those interested in becoming a New York State Notary Public. The seminar is held on Thursday, April 18, 2024 and runs from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Fulton-River Glen college campus. Parking is free for all participants and no car pass is required.

This acclaimed practical seminar helps prepare participants to successfully pass the New York State written examination. It will also cover the recent February 2023 release of the newly designated NYS Electronic Notary or “eNotary” and Remote Online Notarization (RON) programs. New mandatory journal requirements for all New York Notaries will also be discussed, in addition to other new rules and regulations.

Attendance at this seminar is a must for every applicant to properly prepare for the duties, authority and responsibilities of holding a New York State Notary Public commission. Four sample examinations and answer keys are provided to every participant as a self-study aid for coaching and self-review after the seminar. The pre-appointment qualification law examination is proctored in person and administered by the New York Secretary of State on a regular schedule in North Syracuse and other sites throughout New York. It is not administered on the day of this event. All registered participants will receive two printed books written by the speaker – Notary Public Register and Recordkeeping Protocols and Notary Public Handbook: A Guide for New York (East Coast Publishing).

Piombino is the leading New York and national notary law and practice expert. Starting in 1987, he designed and initiated the Notary Public Training Programs at over 35 State University of New York (SUNY) and City of New York (CUNY) colleges throughout New York State, including Cayuga Community College. He has personally prepared tens of thousands of people to pass the New York state proctored, written examination. Piombino is the author of nine law books, including Notary Public Handbook, a court expert witness, past SUNY college business law faculty and is listed in Who’s Who in American Law.
