Cara Delevingne's Los Angeles home catches fire: 'My heart is broken'

Firefighters spent more than two hours trying to extinguish the blaze.

Cara Delevingne's home in Los Angeles caught fire early Friday morning, causing its roof to collapse and injuring two people, including a firefighter.

The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed to EW that a heavy blaze erupted at the rear of the 6,650-square-foot house in Studio City and “developed into a deep-seated attic fire," adding that no occupants were inside at the time.

A crew of 94 firefighters battled the blaze for more than two hours trying to extinguish it. One firefighter was transported from the scene in fair condition, and one occupant sustained minor smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

EW has not confirmed who the occupants were, but Delevingne has been in London while she stars as Sally Bowles in a West End production of Cabaret.

The actress and model shared photos and video footage of firetrucks outside her home in an Instagram Story on Friday, thanking firefighters for their service. The first photo featured her two cats, insinuating that they may have been injured or had perished in the fire, but a follow-up Story revealed that Delevingne's pets are safe and alive.
