This spooky season, Las Cruces offers thrills, frights, and immersion into history. Known for its world-famous cuisine, vast outdoor landscapes perfect for recreation, and thriving culture, Las Cruces also boasts a storied past full of lore and mystery. Folks can experience all the excitement by taking a tour of the allegedly haunted Doña Ana County Courthouse, 251 W. Amador Ave. through Southwest Expeditions.

The former Courthouse was built in 1937, and numerous individuals have claimed sightings of apparitions, as well as ghostly happenings. Exclusive this October, Southwest Expeditions is offering a “Dead Man Walking” ghost tour with a guided tour of the jail and courthouse with horrifying twists as you uncover dark secrets and explore the haunted halls.

Tickets range from $15–$20 per person and can be purchased online. Additional details and a first-hand encounter from Visit Las Cruces can be found on the Visit Las Cruces blog.

Amateur ghost hunters and Halloween enthusiasts can find additional haunted locations. For those looking to explore other locations that are said to be haunted, consider checking out Fort Selden Historic Site, the Double Eagle restaurant in Mesilla and more.
