Arsonists started a fire at a recreation ground. The incident happened in Nuneaton.

Brief details of the attack were issued on X, formerly Twitter, by Warwickshire Fire and Rescue. The force said the blaze was a deliberate fire on the recreation ground off Pool Bank Street in Nuneaton.

The statement was timestamped at 12.43am, Saturday, March 23. It said: "One fire crew from Nuneaton have attended and extinguished a deliberate refuse fire on the recreation ground off Pool Bank Street in Nuneaton."
