The Manhattan High girls’ swim team walked away with some more hardware on Saturday after a third-place finish in the Lansing Relays.
It’s the second third-place finish in as many meets this season for the MHS girls.
The Indians finished in the top three in four different events, led by the 200-yard backstroke relay team of Samantha Tarter, Ruth Perez, Ava McKee and Delaney Saucier who finished first with a time of 2:07.35, over three seconds fast than second place.
The Indians also put up second-place finishes in the 100-yard freestyle relay and 100-yard medley relay.
The freestyle relay team of Alison Brunenn, Tarter, Ellyn Campbell and Caris Goering finished with a time of 53.85, while the medley relay team of Tarter, Perez, Saucier and Campbell put up a time of 1:01.27.
In the 200-yard breaststroke relay, the team of Goering, Sophia Hoeme, Brunenn and Perez finished third for the Indians with a time of 2:33.76.
In fourth place, the team of Saucier, Goering, Ava McKee and Campbell finished with a time of 2:13.33 in the 200-yard medley relay, while the 4x100-yard relay team of McKee, Saucier, Selma Argenius and Perez finished fifth with a time of 4:57.31.
The Indians will be back in action on Thursday, April 4, at Salina South.
