Back in 2016, Bandai Spirits released a very nice Soul of Chogokin toy of GoLion, which is one of the mecha used in the original Voltron series. Well, now it seems like we will get Dairugger XV as well and it looks amazing.

Both Beast King GoLion and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV were combined to make the original Voltron, with the latter series being known as Vehicle Voltron.

While GoLion was built from five mechanical lions, Dairugger XV increases that number somewhat to having 15 separate vehicles combine to form one very large mecha.

The original anime series that made up Voltron were obviously separate in terms of story but they did share the same mecha design team, which obviously helped in having the two mecha look like they belonged to the same universe.

So when Bandai Spirits did its Soul of Chogokin rendition of the original GoLion, many Voltron fans were elated. Especially as the toy itself was amazingly done.

So this new Soul of Chogokin Dairugger XV has a lot to live up to but it is already looking like it could as good as the GoLion toy, if not better.

Like with other Soul of Chogokin releases, this version of Dairugger XV will utilize a good amount of diecast metal. Not to mention that the toy recreates the fully combined form of the mecha from its various component vehicles.

The only bit of bad news here is that this new Soul of Chogokin toy will be expensive. Coming in at 38,500 yen (or around $356) this is definitely a toy for collectors but you do get a lot for your cash, so it does feel worth it.

Anyway, if you want to pick up this Soul of Chogokin Dairugger XV, then it is released in Japan in October and you can pre-order it from retailers such as HobbyLink Japan.
