Outlook: New coach is rebuilding the Vikings around its sprint corps, including Husker football signee Jones.

Outlook: With jumpers Vaughns, Christopher Adkins and Nestor Genao, middle-distance runner Jackson Crawford and sprinter Tamarius McDonald (back from injury), the Huskies expect improvement.
Omaha Westview (Matthew Moore).
Outlook: Tayvin Zephier-Murphy in the horizontal jumps and Collin Krahling in the distances could be the Wolverines’ first state qualifiers.

Outlook: Monarchs lack depth, but could score at state in most areas other than distances.

Outlook: Last year’s state runner-up returns four state medalists, including 100-200 champ Baessler.

Outlook: Sophomore class is very athletic. No returning seniors and only two juniors who completed the 2023 season.

Outlook: Strengths are distances, hurdles, throws and relays.

Elmwood-Murdock (Monte Frerichs): Riley Wilson, hurdles; Sam Clements, throws. Outlook: Numbers are good.
Louisville (Tyler Weatherholt): Young team with potential. More are on the roster, including a talented freshman class.
Mead (Rod Henkel): Raiders have 22 out, an improvement from last year, so more events can be filled.
Wahoo Neumann (Tim Rezac): Beau Fujan, hurdles; Trenton Moudry, throws; William Sassaman, relays-hurdles; Connor Schutt, HJ-TJ; Henry Stuhr, relays. Outlook: Small in numbers, but Moudry and Schutt make the Cavs strong in field events. With a good 1,600 relay a top 10 finish is possible.
Yutan (Dan Krajicek): Joey Benjamin, sprints; Derek Wacker, sprints-discus; AJ Arensberg, 800. Outlook: Wacker is returning from an injury. Relays could be strong.
