Alabama softball social media trolls Florida State football over CFP following win Wednesday
Alabama softball pulled off a first Wednesday evening when it beat Florida State in Tallahassee for the first time in program history.
The Crimson Tide defeated the Seminoles 4-1 on the softball field and did not stop winning there.
Their social media team then got in a dig about FSU's football team being snubbed from the four-team College Football Playoff field this past season.

SEC champion Alabama (12-1) and Big 12 champion Texas (12-1) got in over an undefeated ACC champion FSU (13-0). Both the Crimson Tide and Longhorns lost in the semifinals, which earned social media backlash from Seminoles' players.
FSU quarterback Jordan Travis' late season-ending leg injury against North Alabama was used as a reason by the committee for the 'Seminole snub.'
The Alabama softball social media account had fun at FSU's expense.
"Can't blame the committee tonight," a late-night post on X, formerly known as Twitter, read.
FSU fans also held a grievance this past week for an exclusion from the D1Baseball.com top-25 poll, despite a 14-0 start.
Reactions to viral Alabama post
The victory for the Crimson Tide moved it to 6-7 all-time against FSU. Both teams played in last year's Women's College World Series but were not matched up against one another.
In the Clearwater Invitational, Alabama also won a matchup last year in Clearwater, Florida.

While neither football team is scheduled to play one another in the coming 2024 season — when the College Football Playoff field expands to 12 teams, the Crimson Tide and Seminoles are scheduled to kick off the 2025 season at a freshly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Florida.
Depending on which side one roots for, there were mixed reactions to the viral tweet.
"Whoever runs this account deserves a raise for this tweet," one Alabama fan wrote.
"You can't even celebrate softball without bringing up football," an FSU fan said.
