The U.S. Bank Altitude® Reserve Visa Infinite® Card* is U.S. Bank’s premium travel card, but it doesn’t offer the same level of flexibility as the top-tier travel cards issued by other banks.
Rewards: Earn 5 points per dollar on prepaid hotels and car rentals booked directly in the Altitude Rewards Center, 3 points per dollar on eligible travel purchases and mobile wallet spending and 1 point per dollar on all other eligible net purchases.
Welcome offer: Earn 50,000 points after spending $4,500 in the first 90 days of account opening.
Annual fee: $400
Other benefits and drawbacks: With the U.S. Bank Altitude® Reserve Visa Infinite® Card*, you’ll get access to Priority Pass lounges (eight free visits per year) and you won’t pay foreign transaction fees, so this card is worth considering if you aim to travel in comfort. And like the U.S. Bank Altitude® Connect Visa Signature® Card*, it also has an up to $100 Global Entry or TSA PreCheck statement credit every four years.
You can go a long way toward offsetting the annual fee on this card if you can fully utilize the annual credits, up to $325 on dining and travel purchases. If you’re on the go enough to consider getting this card for its robust travel benefits, hitting that mark shouldn’t be too hard to do.
