Target Is Selling $24 'Comfy' High-Rise Cargo Pants That Rival Anthropologie

Even though cargo pants for a very particular crowd growing up—or at least in theory they were—these utility pants have become a trendy favorite for many retailers in recent months. While baggy cargo pants or grungy utility pants were the norm before, stores like Target and American Eagle have really leaned into the “cute” or stylish cargo pants; it's working pretty well for them. Speaking of, one of Target’s most recent cargos are currently on sale and rival pants from Anthropologie.
Target’s clothing line, Wild Fable, came out with the Women's High-Rise Cargo Utility Pants and they’re a big hit. They’re usually $30 but are on sale for $24 right now and they have nearly five stars with almost 230 ratings. On top of being the perfect Kim Possible-looking pants (and so cute), they’re high-rise and have 4 nice side-leg pockets. They’re a straight-leg, relaxed fit with belt loops, elastic on the back waistband and a comfortable material. Even though some cargo pants are thicker, these are made with “midweight cotton with spandex” for that light, breathable, stretchy feel.

Women's High-Rise Cargo Utility Pants - Wild Fable, $24 at Target
Target’s high-rise cargo utility pants come in five colors: light pink, black, dark green (more of a darker sage green), light yellow and off-white. They also come in a range of sizes, from XXS to 4X in most colors (some of them are sold out at the time of reporting). And reviewers love how comfortable and cute they are.
One reviewer wrote that they "love the color of these…” and think they’re “great for spring." And another noted that the elastic on the back waistband is “best for curves!!”
“I want to buy these pants in all colors!” they wrote. “Comfy and put together!!"
Popular shopping account @best.of.target posted about these pants on Instagram and shared how much they remind them of cargo pants from Anthropologie. While they posted about pants that were $328 from the retailer, we found their similar Sanctuary Reissue Cargo Pants that are $139 at full price. Of course, that’s still nearly six times the price of Target’s, but still.

Sanctuary Reissue Cargo Pants, $139 at Anthropologie
The Sanctuary Reissue Cargo Pants come in four colors (black, ivory, beige and moss) and in sizes XXS to XXL in some colors. They’re made with a cotton and elastane fabric—making them similar to Target’s—and have side cargo pockets. They look to be high-rise pants as well (or at least to the belly button) and reviewers love how soft they are (though some say they run too small, which doesn’t jive with the cargo pant aesthetic).
