Pamela Anderson was married to Mötley Crüe rocker Tommy Lee while she starred on the hit TV series Baywatch in the '90s. Their time together was infamously tumultuous, to say the least. In 1998, Lee served six months in prison for domestic violence, and their divorce was finalized that year. Anderson in recent years has referred to Lee as a "sick" person and a "sociopath." And though their relationship was abusive behind closed doors, Anderson's Baywatch co-stars sometimes got a front-row seat to the madness.

David Chokachi, who played lifeguard Cody Madison on the series, recounted what happened when Lee learned Anderson would have to kiss him for a scene. She first reflected on what happened in her 2023 Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story, noting Lee trashed her trailer on set when he found out she had an on-screen kiss with Chokachi.

"I was there when he destroyed her trailer," Chokachi reminisced in a new interview with Fox News. "I literally walked by her trailer and I heard, like, demolished… things shattering, and I didn't know what was going on. I went down to the set and found out he had destroyed her $1 million trailer."

Anderson explained in her documentary that Lee would frequently go into her trailer while she was on filming breaks. He found her diary and discovered that she'd written about an upcoming scripted kiss with her co-star but didn't tell her husband. That was what set him off.

"He was insanely jealous, and he did not like to see his wife or girlfriend at the time on camera kissing another dude," Chokachi said. "He just was... extremely jealous, threatened the producers' lives. I mean, I was like, 'It's just TV, man.'"

At the time, Chokachi felt for Anderson because he saw firsthand just how much fear he could strike in her heart. As a result, she had to be sneaky about any kiss scenes being filmed.

"Unfortunately, like, for her, I saw the effect of him and his, like, his kind of power or his, like, nastiness, because she'd be really nervous," he remembered. "If there was a make-out scene, she'd have to tell him we're shooting at a different location or tell the crew to tell Tommy we're going to be shooting somewhere else, so he doesn't show up on set and see her making out with me because he's going to go to through the roof."

"You could tell she was nervous about it, like just on her mind a lot—the unease that was at home," he continued. "It's definitely a bummer because she's such an awesome human being. She is so funny and so beautiful. I was like, 'Why would anybody treat this girl like anything but the amazing human being that she is.' I couldn't understand it."

Anderson and Lee divorced in 1998 after welcoming their sons Brandon Thomas and Dylan Jagger. Brandon even carried on Anderson's torch by appearing in the 2017 Baywatch film.
