Leisure Services to hold Special Olympics gymnastics competition
DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) - Dothan Leisure Services will host a Special Olympics Rhythmic Gymnastics sectional competition on Thursday.
The sports event will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Doug Tew Therapeutic Recreation Center.
Rhythmic gymnastics features the mix of gymnastic dance movements with the use of ribbons, hoops, ropes, balls, and clubs.
Athletes that participate will have the opportunity to advance to the state competition being held May 17-29 in Troy.
