A local woman who started the 'Baby Bears Club' is making a donation.
Merriann Forrest recently received a shipment of 3,000 bears for her 'Baby Bears Club.'
She is gifting the first 300 of those bears to organizations to help individuals in need.
Merriann says that when you buy a bear, you are investing in a legacy to help them get land for long term safe, clean, sober housing.
"We're gifting 300 off of this order of three thousand to some organizations rescuing children from sex trafficking. We're working with some individuals right now and we're also gifting it to an organization with senior citizens, because they say isolation in seniors is more deadly than smoking 50 cigarettes a day. We're going to also be working with children coming out of prison and we just want to help spread the love and other victims that have survived that really need the support right now, that's what it's all about," says Merriann Forrest, Baby Bears Club
