Good morning, folks!

Starting the morning with temps in the upper 20s to mid 40s across the High Plains. For today we should see some breezy conditions with very warm temps and low humidity. This is the perfect combination for fire weather to be present. By the afternoon we will see a Fire Weather Warning go into effect until 7 PM. Wind gusts could increase up to 35 mph, temps will be in the low to mid-70s and cloud cover will increase by the evening. Elevated to critical fire weather will be present until Wednesday. A reminder that we have to do our part to not create wildfires or further spread the active ones we still have in the Texas Panhandle. By Thursday, a cold front will swing into the region. This will drop temps but also increase moisture potential. Isolated showers on Thursday then scattered showers on Friday with temps falling back into the 50s.
