BRISTOL, Va. (WCYB) — A 12-year-old boy accused of making threats to do harm at Virginia Middle School has been charged, according to the Bristol, Virginia Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the school Wednesday after the department was notified by the school system. Security measures were made to protect students and staff.
Detectives developed a suspect in the afternoon. A 12-year-old boy has been charged with seven counts of threats to kill or do bodily harm using an electronic device.
The juvenile is being held at the Highlands Juvenile Detention Center.
