HILO, Hawaii (Island News) -- Big Island police are for the person responsible for firing a gun outside of a Hilo restaurant and bar in mid-March.
According to the report, officers were called out to the scene around 3:30 a.m. on March 16 after staff at the business, located in the 1500 block of Kamehameha Avenue, called saying they heard as many as five gunshots outside.
Officers searched the area but did not find the suspected shooter. They did, however, find shell casings on a walkway in front of the main entrance to a government building located next to the bar and restaurant.
No injuries were reported from the gunshots.
