Escambia County home a ‘total loss’ after Tuesday afternoon fire: ECFR

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — Escambia County Fire Rescue is calling a single-story brick home on Cessnock Drive a total loss after a Tuesday afternoon blaze.

ECFR units responded at 1:20 p.m. Tuesday to a residential structure fire on the 4400 block of Cessnock Drive.

FIRE LOCATION:

According to an ECFR Facebook post, the flames and smoke were visible when crews arrived. Units applied water to the home and attacked the fire from the roof.

“The situation was brought under control by 1:42 p.m.,” the post said.

According to the post, one person inside the home was taken to a nearby hospital by Escambia County EMS.

“The home has been considered a total loss due to the heavy damages,” the post said.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating what caused the fire.
