NEW YORK (PIX11) — Around 205,000 people are unemployed in New York City, according to the New York State Department of Labor, making the city’s unemployment rate 5.1%. However, there are over 3,000 government positions open, according to the city’s website.

For New Yorkers looking for an entry-level job, there are almost 300 available positions, from a cook to a licensed barber. Some of the job postings require an exam, depending on the position.

For students, there are just under 100 open positions, many of which do not require an exam.
