Harry and Meghan's photographer denies altering Archie's christening portrait beyond one change

A photographer has denied altering Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's portrait of their son Prince Archie at his christening.

Chris Allerton was tasked with snapping the family on Archie's christening day in 2019 and has admitted a finished piece of King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate needed "very minimal tuning".

He described suggestions the images were heavily edited as "a load of cobblers" and said they hadn't been "manipulated". It is the latest in the image editing scandal that continues to rock the royal family.

It comes after Getty Images revealed they were "undertaking a review of handout images and, in accordance with its editorial policy, is placing an editor's note on images where the source has suggested they could be digitally enhanced".

But Allerton added to Daily Mail that his work needed minimal tuning after he had set up his equipment in advance, saying this allowed him to capture "a relaxed and pleasing moment quickly and efficiently for them".

It's the latest in the editing row following Kate's confirmation that she had edited her Mother's Day image of her with her kids. The photograph led to a huge number of conspiracy theories about the Princess's whereabouts and well-being.

After the image was pulled from publication, speculation continued to unfold about where the Princess of Wales was - and didn't stop when video footage was also shared. In the clip from Saturday, Kate attended the Windsor Farm Shop and wore her hair down while wearing a black top and leggings. Despite the clip seemingly being ready to put to bed any further conspiracy theories, a TMZ producer who bought the clip has joined in with those saying the footage isn't actually Kate.

Charles Latibeaudiere admitted he had "gone back and forth three different times" about whether the clip was actually the princess. He opened up on all the apparent differences that have since made him question the legitimacy of the footage.
