A map shows plans for roads and the phased construction of homes in the Summervale development, on the former site of the Summers Farm facility on Frederick’s western edge. U.S. 40 Alternate is at the top of the image and the intersection of Mount Phillip Road and Butterfly Lane is at the bottom. The project will add 296 homes to the city.
A project on the city of Frederick’s western end is getting closer to the start of construction, as its developer and the city work on an agreement on roads through the community.
The Summervale community along U.S. 40 Alternate and Mount Phillip Road, on the former site of the Summers Farm entertainment and farm venue, will add 296 homes to the city’s western edge.
No farms no food! Summers farm had a rad Taylor Swift-shaped corn maze like 10 yrs ago. Sad that it will be plowed under for yet another overpriced shantytown
Good for some "newcomers" but it will be an absolutely nightmare for the neighbors around this mess. Thank you, City of Frederick for allowing that but, I guess you need money to raise your employees. Mission accomplished
A perfect example of what not to do. This is the crap growth Walkersville is trying hard to avoid. Down goes another farm forever. And here comes a boatload more people into an already too crowded city.

More sprawl
Bad for the environment and irreparably harming this community
Just stop
Well said wturnerinMD!
So long as there are no school aged children…
Is the development preserving green space?

This development will add about 600 vehicles to Route 40 and traffic along Route 15. Just what we need.
I think there should be a second road access instead of just the one to the circle from the 4th phase
