16-year-old boy in critical condition after shooting in Surprise

A 16-year-old boy was hospitalized with serious injuries following a shooting in Surprise on Wednesday night.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to a report of a shooting at about 9:15 p.m. in the area of 113th Avenue and Campana Drive, officials said.

The teen was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect had not been found and the investigation remained ongoing, MCSO said.
