How can I control my dry, frizzy hair?
With dry, frizzy and coarse hair that you want to make silky, shiny and smooth without blowdrying, I'm afraid I can't provide a miracle answer.
The key here is to blow-dry which I find the most tedious job in the world, but done properly it will leave your hair how you want it.
Time is the big problem with blow-drying because it takes so long, but most people do
try to style their hair when it is completely wet when it only needs to be slightly damp.
So take your hair dryer and dry it off with your
fingers first, then apply your styling products.
I love hair serums which you can apply to damp or dry hair and Bumble and Bumble have a very good one called DeFrizz for £10 (call 0870 169 9999) which you can just work through your hair and should help to control that frizz.
Otherwise Philip B have the wonderfully named Drop Dead Straightening Balm, £16 as above. Use it after you've straightened your hair. It helps to maintain your style, will last a few days and
eradicates frizz.
Remember also that conditioning your type of hair is also important to fight the frizz. Try Daniel Galvin Moisture Miracle Treatment Conditioner, £4.25 from leading chemists. I know it's a pain but you've got to use that hairdryer to get the result you want.
