Events at White Eagle Hall in April 2024

(JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- White Eagle Hall continues an exciting and diverse schedule of events for Jersey City and all of its surrounding areas. Upcoming events in April 2024 include sold out shows from folk duo Shovels & Rope, vaporwave artist George Clanton, reality TV podcast Reality with the King, singer-songwriters Madison Cunningham and Juana Molina, puppet comedian Randy Feltface, power pop titan Matthew Sweet, California rock band Allah-Las, alternative rock father figure Robyn Hitchcock, long running Scottish band Teenage Fanclub, and more.

4/5/2024 - Shovels & Rope: Shovels and Rope, the prolific musical duo of Michael Trent and Cary Ann Hearst, have released six studio albums, a film, a picture book, and they curate the High Water Festival in their hometown of Charleston, SC.

4/6/2024 - Emo Night Brooklyn: Welcome to Emo Night Brooklyn, a late night DJ based dance party blasting the best emo and pop punk jams. Get ready to scream your lungs out, mosh, and dance to all your favorite songs with all of your favorite people and experience the awesomeness that is Emo Night Brooklyn.

4/7/2024 - Welcome To Night Vale: Welcome to Night Vale invites you to open that odd looking door that just appeared in your home and enter The Attic, a brand new touring live show. Starring Cecil Baldwin, Symphony Sanders, and surprise guests playing fan favorite characters, the Welcome to Night Vale live show will also feature special musical guest Erin McKeown.

4/12/2024 - George Clanton: George Clanton doesn’t just produce gleaming electronic pop, he produces nostalgia too. The Los Angeles artist’s process involves tweaking synthesizer presets, but beyond searching for the right melodies and textures, he’s hoping to come upon a sound that strikes a spiritual chord.

4/17/2024 - Madison Cunningham, Juana Molina: GRAMMY Award winning singer-songwriter-guitarist Madison Cunningham is co-headlining White Eagle Hall with famed Argentinian experimental pop singer Juana Molina. Throughout the evening they will be playing on each other’s songs as well as improvising to ensure that each night is extra special.

4/18/2024 - Randy Feltface: As seen on Netflix and NBC, Randy Feltface has spent the past 19 years winning awards and garnering critical praise while amassing a huge and devoted following across the globe. He made his US television debut on NBC’s ‘Bring The Funny’ and his comedy specials have become pirated YouTube sensations. Early show is now sold-out, tickets are still available for the late show!

4/19/2024 - Matthew Sweet: Matthew Sweet moved to Athens, GA at the urging of his pen pal, R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe in the early 1980s. Sweet honed his craft in the flourishing alternative rock scene, recording two critically-acclaimed solo records before emerging in 1991 as the leading figure of the American power pop revival with the release of his watershed album Girlfriend.

4/20/2024 - Allah-Las: California band Allah-Las returns to White Eagle Hall in support of their newest album Zuma 85. The full-length signals the start of a new era for Allah-Las, and finds the band reinventing itself in defiance of the algorithmic categorization androbotic sterility.

4/21/2024 - Rock and Roll Playhouse: Rock and Roll Playhouse is coming to White Eagle Hall to perform the music of Taylor Swift! The family concert series offers its core audience of families with children aged ten and under games, movement, stories and an opportunity to rock out in an effort to educate children and explore their creativity.

4/23/2024 - Robyn Hitchcock (solo): UK singer-songwriter and guitarist Robyn Hitchcock is one of alternative rock’s father figures. Founder of art-rock band The Soft Boys, Robyn has recorded more than 20 albums that blend folk, psychedelia, and a wry British nihilism.

4/27/2024 - Teenage Fanclub: Long running Glasgow-based band Teenage Fanclub recently released their eleventh full studio album Nothing Lasts Forever. This beautifully rich and melodic album is the sound of a season’s end, of the last warm days of the year while nights begin to draw in and thoughts become reflective and more than a little melancholy.
