Brace for a windy Saturday before a spring-like Sunday in North Jersey
The weekend in Northern New Jersey features a fierce windy day on Saturday, but some warm and clear skies on Sunday, according to National Weather Service.
Saturday may start off with some rain as there is a 30% chance of precipitation before 2 p.m. but most of the day will feature cloudy skies. The high temperature will be around 53 degrees and a low of near 44 degrees.
A blistering wind will be piercing through the area all day long. In the afternoon, a west wind will have gusts that reach up to 31 miles per hour and at night the west wind may be as high as 28 miles per hour.
Sunday features nice spring temperatures with a high of 68 degrees and a low of 54 degrees. The afternoon's forecast calls for clear sunny skies, but clouds will be in the area in the evening.
There is a 20% chance of rain before 2 p.m. and a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. with a calm wind in the atmosphere.
