College of Southern Idaho to host ceremony for new Transportation Technology Center
The College of Southern Idaho will host a ceremony for its new state-of-the-art Transportation Technology Center at 1:30 p.m. Monday. The ceremony will take place on the undeveloped ground behind the Northview apartments off North College Road.
According to the press release, the new center will be approximately 28,000 square feet and will house the college’s Heavy Equipment Ag Technology and Diesel Technology programs.
The building will also support industry and workforce training in the transportation sector and will allow for expanded dual credit collaboration with the Twin Falls School District.
"This new facility will allow us to consolidate our multiple diesel-related programs into a single space,” said CSI President L. Dean Fisher. “Moving those programs will also help us expand offerings tied to in-demand careers in existing buildings here on campus.”
