ANDROID fans are celebrating a nifty new phone button as part of a fresh upgrade.
Google is working on a feature which will save users barrels of time.

Now, Android phone holders can look up the phone number of someone who called you from your recent calls screen, according to PiunikaWeb.
Scrollers will now have a new “Lookup” button in the beta version of the Google Phone app.
Once tapped, the menu will bring up a Google search of who attempted to ring.
The button will also give users options such as 'Block' and 'History'.
The feature went live in Japan with the March Feature Drop, and it’s possible that Google might introduce it for users globally with the June Feature Drop.

Eagle-eyed Android fans recently spotted another exciting option tucked away in the settings.
However, it's not ready to be used just yet.
The tool is known as Satellite SOS and if you think it sounds familiar you're not mistaken.

For those who are unaware, Satellite SOS allows users to make emergency contact when there is no data connection or Wi-Fi.
And it's already been credited for helping save lives.
The feature was noticed by 9to5Google under the safety and emergency section on the latest Pixel smartphones.
Leaked screenshots say: "With your Pixel, you can message with emergency services and share your location when you can’t connect to a mobile or Wi-Fi network."
