WKMG Hits the Road: Thank you, Sanford

Mayor, police chief & community showed up in full force

SANFORD, Fla. – Sanford is a growing city with a rich history and strong sense of community. That was on full display Wednesday when WKMG Hit the Road with a live broadcast from Magnolia Square, Hollerbach’s and Wondermade.

So many people came out to meet our reporters, investigators and news anchors. You shared your personal stories, took pictures with us and enjoyed three hours of live news highlighting the stories you wanted us to cover.

Those stories included a conversation with the mayor, a closer look at affordable housing, programs to help the youth, change-makers, educators, a performance from the Seminole High School jazz band and a look back at Sanford’s past.
