One person is dead and four people are injured after a shooting Sunday at a Tennessee coffee shop.

The shooting took place at the Roasted coffee shop in the Germantown area of Nashville around 3 p.m. Sunday. Five people total were shot, according to police, with one killed.

Eight people in all were transported to the hospital. One person has a minor injury after possibly being grazed by a bullet and another person had a panic attack.

Police said some kind of altercation happened between two men inside the restaurant during an busy Easter brunch event. It escalated sharply, leading to one man firing multiple shots. Officers believe the man fatally shot was the individual who had the altercation with the suspect.

Police have released surveillance photos of the alleged gunman. During a news conference Sunday evening, they said they are almost certain these photos are of the shooter but are not 100% sure, so they are not ready to release his name.

He left the scene in a Mercedes GLS 450. Anyone with information that can help police is asked to call 615-862-8600.
