Fire damages vacant mobile home near Aynor, at least 9th residential blaze in Horry County since Friday

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Fire caused heavy damage to a vacant mobile home in the Aynor area Tuesday afternoon, at least the ninth residential blaze in Horry County since Friday, authorities said.

The latest fire happened at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 6000 block of Louisville Road, and there were no injuries, according to Horry County Fire Rescue.

The cause of this fire is still being investigated. Horry County police are assisting.

Following is a brief rundown of the other fires, which left one person dead, at least six injured –including three firefighters — and displaced numerous people.

  • 2:30 P.M. TUESDAY: Fire heavily damaged a vacant mobile home in the 6000 block of Louisville Road in Aynor; no injuries

  • 4:19 A.M. TUESDAY: Fire destroyed a home and vehicle on Lucas Bays Road near Conway; 1 person was hurt

  • 8:25 P.M. MONDAY: Fire damaged a home on Skinner Lane near Longs; 1 person was hurt

  • 8:04 P.M. MONDAY: Fire damaged a home on Stonybook Drive near Conway; no injuries

  • 11:55 A.M. SUNDAY: Fire destroyed an abandoned home on Keel Circle and Collins Circle near Longs; no injuries

  • 1:41 A.M. SUNDAY: Fire destroyed a home in the 3000 block of Bombing Range Road near Longs; 74-year-old Jeanette Livingston died in the fire and another person was hurt

  • 1:43 P.M. SATURDAY: Crews were dispatched to a report of multiple fires on Ivy Road in the Conway area. The fire destroyed one residence and damaged another one along with a shed and a vehicle; three firefighters suffered injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening; four people were displaced

  • 10:37 A.M. SATURDAY: Fire heavily damaged an apartment complex in the 400 block of White River Drive; nine units sustained heavy fire damage and six others had smoke and water damage; two nearby buildings had heat damage; there were no injuries, but multiple residents were displaced

  • 4:17 P.M. FRIDAY: Fire heavily damaged a home on Juniper Drive near Coastal Carolina University; no injuries; five people were displaced
