A reality star has shared a frightening encounter with several great white sharks with one of the animals launching at his boat.

Below Deck star Colin Macrae posted the eerie footage to Instagram on Tuesday, describing the moment as “unbelievable”.

The sailor was on his boat, the Parlay Revival, sailing off the shores of Stewart Island in New Zealand when he made the discovery.

“Hands down the craziest thing I’ve seen on my boat,” the caption read.

“5 great white sharks circling and biting the boat off Stewart Island, New Zealand.

“A local wants to take us diving for Paua tomorrow, which is disconcerting after seeing these monsters. But I heard they are friendly as long as you don’t touch their private parts…” he joked.

In the footage, a shocked Macrae said a great white shark had bitten the back of the Parlay before showing the spontaneous attack.

The brazen shark can be seen very close as it bites the back of the vessel.

People can be heard shouting “oh my god” as several sharks circled the boat, as well as “look out girls, watch your feet”.

“This is unbelievable,” Mcrae said.

His crazy footage has gone viral, attracting hundreds of comments from shocked viewers.
