Strong Storms Move Across Texas and Louisiana

Satellite imagery captured severe storms moving across Louisiana and Texas on Wednesday, April 10.

The imagery, released by NOAA’s Cooperative Institute for Meteorological Satellite Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, shows “clusters of strong to severe thunderstorms.”

The storms are expected to “intensify rapidly,” bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, hail, and the possibility of tornadoes to parts of the Gulf Coast region, weather officials said. Credit: UW-Madison CIMSS via Storyful
