A local campsite was full of visitors looking to get the best view of the total solar eclipse.

The owner of Erie KOA Campgrounds said the grounds are seeing more people this season because of the eclipse.

He said most of their guests are from out of town traveling from Virginia, and as far as Georgia.

“It tells us that we have an area that people love to travel, and I know that there’s a lot to do in the area. So, it’s exciting. It gives everybody a chance to enjoy the eclipse,” said Jamie, owner of Erie KOA Campgrounds.

He added about 75 campsites were opened up on the grounds.
