31-year-old man dies after rollover crash in Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man is dead after a crash in Phoenix, the city's police department said.

Shortly before midnight Monday, officers responded to a scene near 7th Street and Indian School Road for reports of a rollover crash.

As officers arrived, they found the vehicle involved in the crash. A man was behind the wheel of the crashed vehicle. The Phoenix Fire Department extricated the driver, but he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene, officials said. 

The deceased driver has been identified as 31-year-old Maxwell Murray.

The investigation is ongoing.
