NEW IBERIA, La. (KADN) — New Iberia police are investigating two separate shootings that left one man dead and another man badly wounded Thursday night and early Friday morning.
The most recent shooting, which happened in the 1400 block of Easy Street, was deadly, according to officers.
Police said they responded to the area just after midnight and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. They added the man died at the scene. His name has not been released.
Investigators said a few hours earlier, around 9:15 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of East Washington Street.
They added a man was found shot and was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.Â
Both shootings are still under investigation.
