GREATER LAFAYETTE AREA, Ind. (WLFI) — The Final Four is here and while Purdue is up in Arizona getting ready for their matchup against NC State, the Purdue Faithful are still here in West Lafayette and Lafayette supporting the Boilermakers by painting the Town Gold.

The excitement for the Final Four is reaching its peak, merchandise is being sold at the Purdue Bookstore, Businesses are putting up Purdue Flags, and buildings are beaming gold lights to remind the world whose house it is.

The support for the Boilermakers is even going as far as the cross walks playing the fight song

President and CEO of Visit Lafayette Jo Wade says that She has not seen the greater Lafayette Area this alive for a game before, and that while Purdue has had previous success on the Gridiron, Basketball just means more in Indiana, and she encourages everyone to go out and support the Boilermakers this weekend.

"And we would encourage everybody to do what you know, makes them feel good, whether it’s their home or their business to light it up Gold, however you want to do that."

With a victory on Saturday, Purdue could secure their spot in the championship game, and their opportunity to bring home their first ever National title.
