Ohio State takes top spot in 247Sports recruiting rankings

In case you missed it, the Ohio State football program put on a little scrimmage over the weekend along with about 80.000 of its closes friends in the ‘Shoe. And while that was all fun and grand with plenty of takeaways, the Buckeyes also landed a couple of more commitments to the 2025 recruiting class to bring the overall total to 13 pledges already for the class.

But more importantly, with some pretty high profile prospects within that number, OSU took over the top spot in the 247Sports Composite Rankings for the cycle, just ahead of Notre Dame and its 19 verbals for the class so far.

Ohio State has a composite score of 255.50 to the Fighting Irish’s 249.85. Even more impressive is OSU’s average recruit ranking of 94.69 which is the top in the class at this point as well.

Michigan, by the way has a whopping three recruits and sits all the way down at No. 51 for what it’s worth.
