Dallas parents and kids will soon have the chance to actively engage in conversations about mental and physical health, courtesy of a summit put together by Youth Guidance Dallas and the City of Dallas. At the "Building Strong Healthy Families" event, local families will be offered resources to strengthen their bonds and improve their overall wellness, according to the City of Dallas.

Set to unfold at Concord Church on Pastor Bailey Drive, the doors will swing open early at 8 a.m. tomorrow, an early start for a day packed with workshops, speeches, and booths. Both students and parents from Youth Guidance's Working On Womanhood (WOW) and Becoming a Man (BAM) programs are the target audience for this full-day engagement.

For those interested in attending, registration is still open on the Youth Guidance website. The summit promises to provide support to families by tackling key issues around the well-being of students and parents alike.

Highlighted in the summit's agenda is the presence of guest speakers and various vendors. These contributors will offer insights and services designed to directly benefit the physical and mental health of attendees, and by extension, the community at large. According to a bulletin from the City of Dallas, the event aims to address topics that contribute significantly to the structure and function of strong, healthy families.

The summit, taking place on April 13, is also backed by the City of Dallas Office of Integrated Public Safety Solutions and Community Violence Intervention. It marks a collaborative effort toward promoting safety and well-being in the Dallas community.
