| Canadian pianist Catherine Wilson comments:
"Leroy Anderson's music sparkles. His music, always elegant, embodies the essence of
his own poetic soul, rich with lyricism and ingenuity. His imagination offers a boundless
array of color, sonorities, moods and emotions, never ceasing to uplift the spirit, each
jewel of a piece speaking to the listener's heart." At the request of the Anderson family, Pianist Catherine Wilson has made the second recording of Anderson's Piano Concerto. In September of 1999 she performed the work in Toronto's famous Massey Hall with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and conductor Skitch Henderson. She is currently recording 15 additional Leroy Anderson compositions in special arrangements for an all-Anderson CD to be released in 2001. Canadian Catherine Wilson is known for her warm and refined approach as a soloist, chamber musician, recording artist and leader of the popular concert and recording ensemble Catherine Wilson and Friends. Ms. Wilson's recordings appear on many international
labels. She has recorded works especially written for her by such distinguished composers
as Canada's Rick Wilkins, John Burke and Saul Irving Glick. A well-known composer, Ms.
