Actor and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias will serve as the grand marshal for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach IndyCar series race on Sunday, Apr. 21.

Iglesias will laubch the Sunday main race by exclaiming “Drivers, start your engines!” at 12:45 p.m.

The actor and comedian is one of the nation’s highest-grossing tour comedians and has racked up more than one billion views on YouTube and 25 million fans on social media, according to the Grand Prix press release.

Iglesias is known for his current roles in the  Disney+ series “The Santa Clauses” with  Tim Allen and his NBC series “Lopez vs. Lopez” with George Lopez.

Iglesias was raised by a single mother in Long Beach and developed a strong sense of humor to deal with the obstacles he faced, according to his wrbsite. His brand of comedy combines storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects, according to Grand Prix Long Beach’s press release.

The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is set to feature the  NTT Indycar series, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championships and other motorsports events.
