Three teams finished unbeaten in pool play at the Dothan Diamond Classic following play Thursday night at James Oates Park, earning three of the four No. 1 seeds for bracket play that starts Friday.
Houston Academy, Wicksburg and Rehobeth all won two games on Thursday to finish pool play 4-0 and take the top seed from Pool D, Pool B and Pool C, respectively.
Slocomb, which finished pool play 3-1 after winning two games Thursday, earned Pool A’s No. 1 seed. Dothan also finished 3-1 but lost head-to-head to Slocomb.
The four top seeds receive a first-round bye in the tournament bracket.
The tournament bracket is set for Friday with opening games at 2 p.m. of Headland against Carroll, Ariton versus Cottonwood, Geneva County against Ashford and Geneva versus Houston County.

Second-round 4 p.m. games feature Northside Methodist Academy against Enterprise, G.W. Long against Dale County, Brantley versus Pike Road and Providence Christian against Dothan.
At 6 p.m., Slocomb faces the Headland-Carroll winner, Rehobeth battles the Ariton-Cottonwood winner, Wicksburg plays the Geneva County-Ashford winner and Houston Academy plays the Geneva-Houston County winner.
Four quarterfinals will follow at 8 p.m. with the winners advancing to Saturday’s 11 a.m. semifinal games. The tournament consolation and championship games are scheduled for 1 p.m.
Houston Academy 2, Ariton 0: Houston Academy’s Braya Hodges pitched a five-inning perfect game, striking out 12 of 15 batters with two ground outs and a fly out on the other three batters.
Houston Academy scored a run in the first and third innings. In the first, Mary Suzan Aman reached on a two-base error, advanced to third on a passed ball and beat out a throw at the plate on Emily Adams’ bunt. In the third, Adams, who singled, scored on a two-out error.
Ariton’s Sydney Adams allowed only four hits and two runs, both unearned, over four innings, striking out two and walking one.
Maddie Jerkins had two of the four HA hits.
Houston Academy 18, Dale County 2: Jaydn Rausch was 3-for-5 with a grand-slam homer and five runs batted in, Braya Hodges had two hits with one RBI and both Ansleigh Smith and Emily Maddox had a hit and drove in three runs to lead HA.
Rausch had a single in the first inning and delivered both a run-scoring double and the grand slam during a 13-run second inning.
AJ Harrison added a hit and two RBI for the Raiders.
Emily Adams (1 1/3 innings) and Maddox (1 2/3) combined to limit the Warriors to three hits.
Ella Brooke Barefield, Leah Grace Snellgrove and Shayleigh Whitman had a single each for Dale County.
Wicksburg 11, Headland 0: Wicksburg’s Natalie Cole pitched a four-inning perfect game with nine strikeouts out of 12 batters.
Anslie Ellenburg had two hits and three runs batted in, highlighted by a two-run homer. Anleigh Wood also had a two-run homer. Lana Carpenter and Ella Grace Kelley both had two hits with one RBI and both Emalee Mathis and Dahlia Ganz had a hit and RBI each.
Wicksburg 4, Enterprise 0: Ellie Cox pitched a five-inning, two-hit shutout with six strikeouts to lead Wicksburg.
The Panthers scored two runs in the first and two in the third inning. In the first. Lana Carpenter and Chloe Joyner both hit a solo homer. In the third, Kelsey Ellenburg and Natalie Cole had a run-scoring single each.
Kelsey Ellenburg had two hits to lead Wicksburg. Addy Whaley had both of Enterprise’s hits.
Rehobeth 18, Geneva County 0: Alex Cobb pitched a three-inning perfect game with five strikeouts in the pitching circle and belted a grand slam homer on offense.
Maddie Williams was 3-for-4 with three runs batted in, while Mattox Richards, Regan Valenzuela, Addy Kirkland and AG Massey all had two hits each with Richards and Valenzuela with two RBI and Kirkland and Massey one each. Brooke Nowlin hit a two-run homer.
Rehobeth 21, Houston County 0: Preslie Taylor pitched a three-inning perfect game with six strikeouts out of nine batters and Jessa Buker drove in five runs off two hits to lead Rehobeth.
Mattox Richards had three hits and drove in two runs, while Taylor, Regan Valenzuela and Baleigh Nowlin all with two hits each with Taylor driving in two runs and Valenzuela and Nowlin one each. Kara Peterman and Adeebah Yusuf both added a hit and an RBI.
Slocomb 7, Ashford 1: Chloe Andrews hit a three-run homer to spark a four-run fourth in Slocomb’s win.
Gracie Ward had two hits, while Cieara Baker had a run-scoring triple and an RBI sacrifice fly.
Amiyah Lewis had a run-scoring single for Ashford.
Calie Seay picked up the pitching win, working three of the five innings and allowing five hits and one run. She had one strikeout. Baker worked the last two innings, striking out five and allowing one hit.
Slocomb 7, Geneva 4: Slocomb broke out to a 6-1 lead after two innings and held on for the win.
Molly McGowan had a three-run double to highlight a four-run second inning. A fly ball error scored the inning’s other run. Calie Seay had a run-scoring single, while Cieara Baker and Emma Nichols both had an RBI double for Slocomb. Chloe Andrews had two singles.
Jaci Hall was the winning pitcher, going three of the five innings. Nichols pitched the last two innings.
For Geneva, Macy Turner had two hits, Isabelle Padgett had a two-run single and Erika Torres had a run-scoring single.
Dothan 11, Ashford 5: Jadyn Watkins had two hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in four runs and Kinley German had three hits and three runs batted in to lead Dothan.
Brantley McCarthy and Maylee Lancaster both added two hits and Savanna Kendrick had a hit and one RBI.
McCarthy was the winning pitcher, going all five innings and allowing seven hits and five runs with two strikeouts.
For Ashford, Camden McCardle, Katelynn Money and Loren Beth Ingalls all had two hits each with McCardle driving in two runs. Jalissiah Jackson added a hit and RBI.
Dothan 2, G.W. Long 1: Dothan’s Jadyn Hutchins pitched a five-inning, two-hitter with one run allowed and five strikeouts and two walks.
Hutchins also had two hits, including a run-scoring single, and Brantley McCarthy had an RBI single for Dothan.
Aubreigh Haynes hit a solo homer for G.W. Long. Ally Whitehead had a single for the other hit.
Long’s Anna Claire Free struck out six over five innings, allowing just six hits and two runs.
G.W. Long 1, Geneva 1 (tie): G.W. Long scored a run in the top of the fifth to put the game into a tie.
Ansley Watson had a run-scoring triple for Long’s run. Geneva’s Ally Henderson scored during an error in the third inning.
G.W. Long pitcher Kaylie Joseph pitched a five-inning one-hitter with one run allowed and seven strikeouts.
Geneva’s Erika Torres pitched a five-inning five-hitter with six strikeouts and one run allowed.
Watson had two of Long’s five hits. Kiersten Lewis had a second-inning single for the Geneva hit.
Brantley 6, Ariton 5: Brantley scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to rally from 5-3 down to take the win.
Anna Parker Little struck out seven over five innings, scattering five hits and five runs, only one earned. Alex Grimes had three hits and Kaitlyn Piggot had two hits with an RBI.
Brianna Acahua had two hits, including a solo homer, for Ariton. Reese Peters added a single with two RBI.
Carroll 5, Dale County 5 (tie): Carroll rallied with two runs in the third and fifth innings and one in the fourth to forge a 5-5 tie.
Kaylyn Holt drove in two runs and Ashleigh Peters had a single and RBI for Carroll.
Shayleigh Whitman hit a grand-slam homer for Dale County. Ella Brooke Barefield earned two hits.
Enterprise 20, Cottonwood 7: Enterprise scored 13 runs in the first inning to take command.
Ella Little had a three-run homer and a run-scoring single for a two-hit, four RBI game, while Skylar Frey belted a two-run homer for EHS. Five others had two hits each – Madeline Tindol, Emma Barrette, Kinley Hutto, Addy Whaley and Lilla Faulk. Hutto, Whaley and Faulk drove in two runs and Tindol and Barrette had one RBI each. Lee Lott and Maddie Bochat both had a hit and an RBI.
For Cottonwood, Delaney Acosta had a three-run homer and Chloe Lee had a two-run homer and a run batted in off a bases-loaded hit by a pitch. Mischa Ward added an RBI single.
Brantley 14, Carroll 5: Carroll led 4-3 after two-and-a-half innings before the Bulldogs scored four in the bottom of the third and seven in the fourth.
For Carroll, Kaylyn Holt had two hits and Makynzye Bonner had a hit and RBI.
For Brantley, Mary Kay Kilcrease had three hits and one RBI, Emma Crawley had two hits and four runs batted in and both Kaitlyn Piggot and Hope Richardson had two hits and two RBI. Coco Stamps also had two hits.
Pike Road 9, Northside Methodist 5: Pike Road pulled away from a 4-3 lead with a five-run fourth.
For NMA, Alyssa Turner and Ally Holland both had a hit and an RBI each. Anna and Avery Griggs both added an RBI each.
Northside Methodist 18, Geneva County 2: Anna Griggs was 4-for-4 with a triple and two runs batted in and Alyssa Turner and Ally Holland both had two hits and two RBI for the Knights.
Marah Stuckey added a hit and three runs batted in and Mackenzie Kirkland had one hit and two RBI. Amelia Ivey added a single and an RBI.
Kolbi Hall struck out eight over four innings and allowed only two hits and two unearned runs.
For Geneva County, Aubrey Andereasen had a double and Raine Dunn a single.
Providence Christian 11, Cottonwood 0: Ella Houston and Jane Claire Mobley combined on a four-inning, two-hit shutout and seven strikeouts.
Houston pitched two hitless innings and struck out four. Mobley worked the last two innings, striking out three and allowing the two hits.
Houston was 2-for-3 with a homer and three runs batted in and both Alyse Deer and Addison Russ had two hits and two runs batted in. Maddie Norris and Mobley added a hit and RBI each.
Chloe Lee and Bailey Lackey had a single each for the two Cottonwood hits.
Providence Christian 8, Headland 7: Maddie Norris hit a pair of homers, including a grand slam homer, and drove in five runs to lead the Eagles.
Addison Russ added three hits with one run batted in and Alyse Deer added a single and RBI.
For Headland, Addy Davis had a two-run scoring triple, but was left stranded at third when the game ended. Meryl Adams added a hit and RBI.
Ella Houston was the winning pitcher for PCS, going all five innings. She had eight strikeouts.
Pike Road 15, Houston County 0: The Lions were no-hit by Pike Road pitching in the three-inning game.
The Patriots scored 10 runs in the first inning to take command.
Regular Season
Zion Chapel 4, Pike Liberal Arts 1 (8 innings): Class 2A No. 3 ranked Zion Chapel scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning to beat Pike Liberal Arts in a Class 2A, Area 4 contest, improving to 24-2 on the season.
Riley Bannin had three hits on offense and struck out 11 over seven innings with four hits and one run allowed. She earned the pitching win with Sydney Boothe picking up a save with a perfect eighth inning.
Allie Booth had two hits for Pike Liberal Arts. Haylie Brown had a run-scoring single.
Opp 13, New Brockton 0: Bradleigh Lanier struck out 13 and pitched a five-inning, one hit shutout with four walks for Opp (21-4) in the Class 3A, Area 3 win.
Addison Moseley had two hits and two runs batted in and Jaidyn Ivey had two doubles and a RBI, while Madie Wilson had a single with two RBI. Reese Cauley hit a solo homer.
MacKenzie Jones had a single for the lone New Brockton hit.
Elba 12, Goshen 1: A’Lyric Whitfield had a two-run triple and a two-run homer and Ana Caldwell had a two-run triple to lead Elba’s offense.
Destinee and Danielle Tidwell both had three hits with Danielle earning a RBI triple. Mary B. O’Neal had two hits with one RBI. Lady Stinson added a hit and RBI.
O’Neal went all five innings for the pitching win, striking out three.
Kinston 14, Pleasant Home 0: Brynne Kelley drove in six runs off a grand slam homer and a two-run double and Lauren Norris pitched a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts to lead Kinston in a Class 1A, Area 2 win.
Norris retired the first 12 batters she faced before an error to lead off the fifth gave Pleasant Home its lone runner. Norris got the three batters out to end it.
Bella Lashley and Aubrie Brown added two hits each with Brown driving in a run. Camdyn Norris had a single and two RBI and Aubrey Norris had a triple with one RBI.
