Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley to honor local volunteers

Marge Pollock

YOUNGSTOWN – This year, the Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley is taking a moment to honor the extraordinary commitment of eight volunteers who have gone above and beyond in their service. The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley recognizes the shining example of volunteerism with the Servant’s Heart Award. These individuals will receive a personal letter and certificate acknowledging their dedication.

The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley will recognize the volunteers during its Volunteer Appreciation Event, a special brunch to honor all the mission’s volunteers on Saturday, April 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. in the mission’s dining hall at 1300 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

Local volunteers being honored include Susan Blake of Canfield and Marge Pollock of New Springfield.

The mission is asking current and past volunteers to RSVP to attend the event. Volunteers are encouraged to invite and RSVP friends and family for the celebration and use this event as an opportunity to introduce new supporters to the mission. Tours will also be available.
