A pedestrian who was hit by a tanker truck and killed in the Malibu area was publicly identified Monday.
Dimitri Failla, 32, died from blunt force injuries, the Medical Examiner’s office reported.
He was struck at about 6:35 a.m. Friday on Pacific Coast Highway near Cross Creek Road, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Failla was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the tanker truck remained at the scene and was interviewed by authorities. Pacific Coast Highway in the area was shut down about four hours, the sheriff’s department reported.
