WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — Multiple Purdue basketball players are leaving the program. Ethan Morton and Mason Gillis have entered their names into the transfer portal, and women’s basketball player Jeanae Terry has declared for the WNBA Draft.
Morton was a four-star commit out of high school and has been with Purdue since. Last year he started in 29-out-of-35 games and averaged 3.8 points and 2.9 rebounds.
This season Morton saw his minutes slashed, and his role was vastly different. However, due to his sacrifice, Boilerball had one of the best years in program history.
Mason Gillis followed suit entering into the portal. He averaged 6.5 points, four rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. He was also named as this year's Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year.
Jeanae Terry will also be taking her talents elsewhere. The senior is hoping to pursue a professional career in the WNBA.
Terry broke many school and Big Ten records over the last three years with the Boilers, and will go down in program history as being an all-time great.
The WNBA Draft is set to take place on Monday, April 15.
