There’s action, comedy, Bollywood style drama, a patriotism based plot and more cars flying, helicopters crashing kind of action… enough reason to make this one a massy entertainer! I belong to the category of movie buffs who enjoys the adrenaline rush received whilst watching some mind-blowing action stunts, so when the OG Khiladi, Akshay Kumar (Freddy) and the action rockstar, Tiger Shroff (Rocky) are put together in a movie, you know you’re going to be in a for a ride. Freddy and Rocky share a bromance that screams love-hate relationship and actually does shine in the entirety of this movie. Ali Abbas Zafar, whose previous movies like ‘Sultan’,’ Tiger Zinda Hai’, and the much recent ‘Bloody Daddy’ left fans impressed, tries to recreate the magic of impactful, in-your-face action with BMCM in collaboration with Pooja Entertainment.

The plot revolves around the classic ‘old friend turned foe’. Kabir (Prithviraj Sukumaran), who is on a mission to remove Indian from the face of the earth using an AI driven evil plan; Freddy, Rocky, Colonel Azad (Ronit Roy), Priya (Sonakshi Sinha), Misha (Manushi Chhilar) and Pam (Alaya F) are on a mission to ensure this plan does not materialize, with some really calculative, unrealistic moves. With the concept being a well thought one, the storyline does seem a little problematic.
The first half of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has a decent build up but the second half is a slight bit stretched, and after a point the jokes don’t seem to help either. However, the action scenes really do take over the second half and how! There’s constant explosions and precisely planned good fight sequences that impressively fills up the second half. Special mention Hollywood action director, Craig Macrae for choreographing. TRIVIA: Some of the action scenes have the usage of real cars, equipments and are not CGI, while watching certain scenes knowing this may leave you mind-blown.
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff carry the film on their shoulders with some spectacular heavy duty scenes; Prithviraj Sukumaran as the masked villain could’ve been more evil; Alaya F has her savage game on-point with those dialogues delivered along with that much needed ‘Pam’ sass; Manushi Chhillar’s effort in the fight sequences is commendable. Vishal Mishra waves his music wand through the movie quite wonderfully. All in all, this massy entertainer can be the perfect Eidi for those who want to watch high-end action on the big screen.
