A shooting left a 3-year-old boy injured this afternoon inside an apartment in Albany.

A 3-year-old boy is recovering after being shot in Albany.

It happened just after 4 p.m. Tuesday at a home at Lark Drive and Manning Boulevard.

The boy was inside the home with family, said police, when the gun went off. The boy was hit in the upper shoulder. He’s alert and conscious, police said.

An Albany Police spokesperson did not return a message late Tuesday asking for an update on the boy’s condition or whether any arrests had been made.
