This Shocking Murder Documentary Is The Top Movie On Netflix Right Now

A lesbian road trip comedy and a romantic fantasy film are also trending on streaming services like Max, Apple TV+, Hulu and Peacock.

“What Jennifer Did” is the most popular movie on Netflix, according to the platform’s public ranking system.

This shocking new documentary explores a murder-for-hire case out of Ontario, Canada in 2010. According to the investigation, a young woman named Jennifer Pan had spun a web of lies for her parents, and after they learned the truth, she took drastic measures.

“What Jennifer Did” premiered on Netflix on April 10 and the total run time is one hour and 27 minutes.

The most popular movie on Max at the moment is “Brandy Hellville & the Cult of Fast Fashion.”

Released on April 9, this new documentary dives into the toxic culture around the popular clothing brand Brandy Melville ― from its problematic “one size” marketing to allegations of racism and sexism.

According to Hulu’s public ranking system, “The Greatest Hits” is the current top movie on the platform. The romantic fantasy film premiered at South by Southwest on March 14, followed by a limited theatrical release and Hulu debut on April 12.

“The Greatest Hits” follows a woman named Harriet Gibbons (played by Lucy Boynton) who discovers that particular songs can literally transport her to different times in her past.

“Drive-Away Dolls” is currently trending on Peacock following a disappointing performance at the box office in February.

Directed by Ethan Coen, this lesbian road trip comedy features Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Pedro Pascal, Bill Camp and Matt Damon.

The top movie on Apple TV+ is “Argylle,” an action comedy about an introverted author who discovers that the new spy novel she’s writing appears to predict future real-world occurrences.

Released on theaters in the U.S. on Feb. 2, the movie was a commercial and critical failure despite its ensemble cast containing Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson.
