FWP warns of increased grizzly, black bear sightings across western Montana

MISSOULA, Mont. — Missoula Bears announced on Facebook that Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks has received verified reports of bear tracks around western Montana.

Officials received verified grizzly bear reports in the eastern Bitterroot, Blackfoot and Clearwater and Ninemile areas.

They also received verified black bear reports from Bonner to Clinton, the lower Rattlesnake and Seeley Lake.

Officials urge anyone going outdoors to carry bear spray and know how to use it.
