Houston Texans Legend J.J. Watt Reveals Which Other NFL Team He Would've Liked To Play For

Texans legend J.J. Watt says there is one other NFL team he would have liked to play for.

There's no question J.J. Watt's loyalty resides with Houston after spending 10 of his 12 years in the NFL with the Texans, but outside of Arizona, there is another team he would've liked for. As a Wisconsin native, it should come as little surprise that he would've liked to play for the Green Bay Packers.

"I loved being in Houston. The people were unbelievable to me, it was great," Watt said on the Stick To Football podcast, via Talksport. "I grew up in Wisconsin and I grew up in Green Bay. The Packers, have a little bit of a different relationship with their fans... (The Packers are) a community-owned team, it's a small town, so that's one that always would have been really cool."

Watt is one of the greatest players to ever step on a football field. He played 128 career games with the Texans, logging 531 tackles (409 solo), 172 tackles for loss, 101 sacks, forced 25 fumbles, had 16 fumble recoveries and two interceptions, both of which were returned for touchdowns.

He wasn't as impactful in Arizona, but that was to be expected, considering he spent just the final two seasons of his career there. Still, Watt had 13.5 sacks in 23 games.

Green Bay landed Watt at any point. It would've been a story of the rich getting richer. A storied franchise pairing with a legendary defender with Aaron Rodgers leading the offense would've made the Packers an even more serious threat.
